Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with God Bless America: A WWII Radio Hour
Kick off Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival weekend with a memorable evening of music, history and community!
On Friday, October 16, playwright and performer Shellie O’Neal will present God Bless America: A WWII Radio Hour at the KESA Building in Kerens. Shellie portrays Sally Brennan, a fictional World War II radio host who takes the audience back to the 1940s through six of our nation’s beloved anthems, the fascinating stories behind them and entertaining radio commercials of the era.
A soup dinner will be served beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by the performance at 6 p.m.
