Southwest Dairy Farmers Mobile Dairy Classroom at the Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival
We are excited to share that the Southwest Dairy Farmers Mobile Dairy Classroom will be at the 2021 Kerens Cotton Harvest Festival. The Mobile Dairy Classroom is a traveling milking parlor, featuring a live cow and an oral presentation. Aaron Sanders will be presenting oral presentations at 12:30PM and 3PM where you will learn about:
- Characteristics and anatomy of dairy cows
- The importance of dairy foods for good health
- The modern milking process
- Modern environmental and food safety practices
The Mobile Dairy Classroom will be located on the lot just north of the library.
Southwest Dairy Farmers is an alliance of dairy farmers from Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina. These producers have pooled their resources to provide consumer education in nutrition, promote dairy product use, and provide dairy product information.
