New Addition to the Festival!
Meet the Indian Trail Master Naturalist
We’re thrilled to introduce a new addition to the festival this year! An Indian Trail Master Naturalist will be in the library, ready to share their knowledge about Texas’s unique wildlife and natural habitats and provide some activities for the kids.
The Texas Master Naturalist program is a partnership among the AgriLIFE Extension, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and over 300 local partners. This unique volunteer organization trains individuals through a rigorous program, requiring a minimum of 40 hours of field and classroom instruction, 8 hours of advanced training, and 40 hours of volunteer service.
Since 1998, over 6,000 volunteers across 42 local chapters have dedicated more than 1.2 million hours to enhance wildlife and native plant habitats, reaching millions of people with their expertise. The Master Naturalist at our festival will provide valuable insights and answer any questions you have about conservation and nature in our beautiful state.
